This past Saturday, February 15th, 2014 we were privileged to pour our wine at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco for the San Francisco Chronicle Award Winner’s Public Tasting.

The room was filled with thousands of wineries pouring wine from award winning bottles. We were able to share our wine with old friends and new, try out the competition and get some tasty snacks from Le Cordon Blue, the California Culinary Institute, and Cypress Grove.

The owner of Kick Ranch Vineyard, the masterful growers of our Viognier grapes stopped by to celebrate with us.

Ben and Ari were cracking jokes as they shared glasses of the 2009 Idle Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2010 Syrah, and of course, our award-winning 2012 Viognier.

The public tasting in San Francisco is the largest tasting of American wines in the world and a tremendous attraction for San Francisco Bay Area lovers of fine wine, food, and entertainment. The proceeds of the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition support the non-profit Cloverdale Citrus Fair and help support wine and food education at various educational institutions and non-profit organizations.

If you missed the tasting and want to have a tasting of your own, contact us through our website or grab a few bottles from our store. We hope to see you at next year’s event!
