This week kicked off the start of our 2014 Harvest and we have been hard at work up in wine country. In the midst of the hefty earthquake jolt last week that left damage across the Sonoma and Napa Valleys, it has been a hectic time for harvest as the community recovered from the damage and shock. Nonetheless our grapes continued to ripen in time to get plucked off the vine. We have already harvested and crushed the 2014 Viognier and are looking forward to getting started on the Sangiovese, Grenache Blanc, Cab Franc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in the coming week. We are keeping a close eye on the grapes as we wait for the perfect moment to take them from the vine.
We look forward to celebrating the end of crush with you all on September 26th during an Idle Cellars wine dinner with Chef Andrew Greene. The menu is looking amazing and we were so blissfully happy after the last one, this next one will be a fantastic way to bring in the fall and celebrate the end of summer. Get your tickets on Sosh while they last and come get Idle with us!
Cheers to crush and the delicious fruit of 2014!
